Pregnancy and Morning Sickness – How to Deal

Morning sickness. Just about every woman who has ever been pregnant can tell you – it's no picnic. Here we will list some ways to alleviate this not so glamorous symptom of pregnancy.
1) Get out of bed slowly. Many pregnant women have found that if they jump right out of bed in the morning they get sick.
2) Nibble on saltine crackers. These are handy to have around all day. Keep some by your bend and eat on or two as you are getting ready to get out of bed. Also, keep some in your purse – you never know when you might need them.
3) Try to avoid foods or smells that make you feel sick.
4) Eat slowly. Scarfing down your food is just asking for your stomach to send it back.
5) Drink peppermint tea. Peppermint has a calming effect on upset tummies.
6) Use a motion sickness wristband. These use a pressure point to help control nausea.
7) If all else fails and your morning sickness is particularly unbearable, your health care provider may be able to write you a prescription for an anti-nausea medication.
